Parkrun Meetup

Our club holds a parkrun meetup about once a month. We meet at the start of a parkrun and run however people feel like running. Some may run as a group, some may want to run fast, it is entirely up to you.

At the end of the parkrun, there will be an agreed café to convene at, where we share a drink and a chat.

Should you not want to race, we encourage our members to volunteer for the parkrun. The volunteers are important and valuable to rhe parkrun community.

Joining a parkrun is free. They ask you to register with parkrun online first. You only need to register once, then you can take part in as many parkruns as possible. You can register here.

Once registered, you can just turn up to any parkrun.

This meetup's with a focus on volunteering at the event. If you're interested, please email peel (peel@parkrun.com) in advance to volunteer.

Once registered, you need to contact the specific parkrun you want to volunteer with. Search for parkrun events on their website. You will find each parkrun has an email address to contact about volunteering.

Car parking

Irwell Place Car Park opposite the University of Salford, just off The Crescent. Parkrunners receive free parking until midday at this car park, providing they display a spare barcode on their dashboard.

Salford Crescent station is located on the main University campus between Peel Park and Frederick Road.
