Next Race - Sealed Handicap Sunday Aug 31st - Turn Moss, Stretford. 10.30 AM Start !! Starting from Football Clubhouse, car parking available, however please arrive early to enable Handicapper to sort out relevant handicaps. Course is 2 laps, 5miles, across Turn Moss to River Mersey along the towpath and back into Turn Moss.

Please find below a list of the remaining 3 Championships races still to be run this summer.
Also a list of people who can still complete the championship along with the current standings.
We would like to see as many people as possible complete this year and ensure it stays competitive right to the finish.
There are 6 trophies for the 1st six men and women along with an age category trophy in each age group.
If anyone has any questions or suggestions regarding the championships please contact steve symons on stevesymons259@aol.com .
So far only 23 people have taken part. Come on everyone I am sure we can do better. Please support your Club Championships !!!!!!

We are one of the longest established running clubs in the UK, [ 125 years old ! ] and have our headquarters at the Y Club, Liverpool Road, Castlefields, Manchester.To join us, you must have a membership of the Y club, there are different packages available. Details are available from our Club Secretary, Graham Jackson at grahamjackson7@btinternet.com.

We have approx 140 members, and cater for all levels. There are Club Championships for Road ( Summer ), Cross Country, Fell and Track. The club also enters various Relay Races, and appears at the Welsh Castle's and Cross Keys's Events whenever possible.Runs are organised from the Cafe Bar of the Y Club on Monday and Thursday evening's, with a 6.30 pm start. Thursday is our "Club" night, with planned routes, and an ideal way to get to know our club if you are a newcomer, or indeed a visitor to our city either on business or vacation. Details of the runs are posted on the Club Notice board, as well as updating on all relevant club news. We also promote 2 road races each year. In April we host our 5 Mile Race which is a 2 lap course around Hough End Playing Fields on Mauldeth Road. In June we run our " Manchester 10k". We are proud to host this race from the City of Manchester Stadium, with runners able to look forward to finish on the Athletics Stadium next to the venue which housed the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Entry details of both events will appear on this site when available.
