The following Harriers completed this new distance over a challenging course, some of which was along the Irwell Valley Trail - used by the Harriers for their Christmas Day Run.

Road Championship Rules Men & Women
Trophy for first 6 men and first 6 women.1st in each Age Category .Best 6 Results to count or Best 5 plus a Marathon
Marathon points awarded for best time between 1st April and 31st October 
Must include one for each category Short, Medium and Long.For the Alexander Park series, the fastest time for any race to count.

6:15pm for a warm-up and 6.30 pm for a run. Meet in the cafe bar at the Y Club, Liverpool Road, Manchester. Everybody most welcome.

There will be three runs as usual, short, medium and long. All are welcome and we will accommodate all levels.

If you wish to come along, although you may not be a new runner in the real sense of the word. You may know of somebody who might be interested in beginning to run and would like to gain confidence by running with a group (or even training for a particular event), so please let them know of this event.

Finishing positions for the 2010 Northern Cross Country Championships  are as follows ; 
Ladies Winner Hatti Dean - Hallamshire 30.31
Ladies team finish 17th
Mens Winner Steve Vernon - Stockport 39.04

Jan 3rd - Many Thanks to Stockport Harriers for putting on the Woodbank Park League Race in very testing conditions and well done to those who both supported and really enjoyed the experince of XC in snow and ice.
